Description: A vibrant yellow African cichlid with striking black markings along its dorsal and pelvic fins. One of the more peaceful Mbuna cichlids, popular for African cichlid aquariums.
Origin: Lake Malawi, East Africa.

Adult Size: 10–12 cm
Lifespan: 6–10 years
Food: Quality African cichlid pellets, spirulina flakes, algae-based foods and occasional frozen brine shrimp or mysis shrimp.
Compatibility: Relatively peaceful for a Mbuna cichlid. Best kept with compatible Lake Malawi cichlids of similar size and temperament.
Habitat: Well-filtered aquarium with rockwork, caves, hiding places and sand or fine gravel.
