Description

Tank size: 75 L minimum for a small group; larger is better.
Group size: Keep 6 or more, ideally 8–10. They are schooling fish and can become stressed when kept alone.
Temperature: 22–28°C (72–82°F).
pH: Around 6.0–7.5.
Water hardness: Soft to moderately hard water is suitable.
Aquascape: Provide plants, driftwood, and some shaded areas, while leaving open swimming space.
Filtration: Use a gentle-to-moderate filter with stable water flow and good oxygenation.
Diet: Omnivorous. Feed quality tropical flakes or small pellets, supplemented with frozen/live foods such as brine shrimp, daphnia, or bloodworms. Small portions once or twice daily are appropriate.
