Approximately6.0–8.0

Lifespan:
Approximately5–8 years

Food:
Omnivorous. Feed a varied diet of quality sinking pellets, algae wafers, vegetable matter and frozen or live foods such as bloodworms, brine shrimp and daphnia.

Compatibility:
Semi-aggressive and territorial, especially towards its own species and similarly shaped bottom-dwelling fish. Generally best keptone per aquarium. Suitable tank mates include robust, active fish that primarily occupy the middle and upper areas of the aquarium.

Habitat:
Prefers a spacious aquarium with good filtration and plenty of rocks, driftwood, caves and hiding places. Breaking up lines of sight can help reduce territorial behaviour. Provide plenty of swimming space and areas where the fish can graze on algae and biofilm.
