Rainbow fish are very underestimated and are a wonderful native fish with great colours and handles temperatures better than most fish and ideal for ponds and aquariums.

Australian and New Guinea Rainbow fish are hardy, energetic fish that are suited to most tropical community aquariums. Muccullochi are found in northern Queensland.

Several of the species can live in cooler climates such as the Crimson Spot Rainbow and Pacific Blue Eye.
