Ludwigia arcuata Tissue Culture is an elegant stem plant with fine, narrow leaves that range from bright green to vibrant orange-red, depending on growing conditions. Its delicate foliage gives the plant a soft, feathery appearance while adding height and texture to the aquarium. Under high lighting, with adequate nutrients and CO₂, the leaves develop brilliant red and orange tones, creating a striking contrast against broader-leaved green plants. When planted in groups, it forms a colourful, bushy display that is ideal for the midground or background.
Care Requirements:
Ludwigia arcuata is best suited to intermediate and experienced aquascapers, as it performs best under high lighting with the addition of CO₂. Plant individual stems into a nutrient-rich substrate, leaving a small gap between each stem to allow light penetration and healthy growth. Regular fertilisation, including iron and trace elements, will help maintain vibrant colouration and vigorous development. Trim the stems frequently to encourage branching and create a dense, compact group. Replant healthy cuttings to expand the planting or maintain the desired shape. Stable water parameters and consistent maintenance will keep this plant thriving and displaying its best colours.
Potential Issues and Tips:
Tissue cultures are in a 5cm container - simply rinse gel and plant.
In ideal conditions, shelf life will be approx 4 weeks.
Basic care instructions:
Each pot is 50mm in diameter and packed full of healthy plants.
