Alternanthera rosaefolia Tissue Culture is a stunning stem plant known for its vibrant pink to deep red foliage, making it a striking focal point in any aquascape. Its broad, slightly elongated leaves grow in opposing pairs along upright stems, creating a bold splash of colour that contrasts beautifully with green aquatic plants. Under strong lighting and with adequate nutrients and CO₂, the foliage develops its most intense red and pink tones. Regular trimming encourages the plant to branch, resulting in a fuller, bushier
Care Requirements:
Alternanthera rosaefolia is best suited to intermediate and experienced aquascapers, as it performs best under moderate to high lighting with the addition of CO₂. Plant individual stems into a nutrient-rich substrate, spacing them slightly apart to allow room for growth. Regular fertilisation, particularly with iron and trace elements, will help maintain vibrant colouration and healthy development. Trim the stems frequently to promote dense, compact growth and replant healthy cuttings if desired. Stable water parameters and consistent maintenance will ensure this colourful plant remains a standout feature in the aquarium.
