12 items left

Nitrapore is a resin designed specifically directed at reducing Nitrites and Nitrates.

Nitrates is produced from -

  • Filtration breaking down Ammonia to Nitrite to Nitrate
  • Waste from fish
  • Overfeeding and the breaking down of food products
  • Detritus and waste in rock, substrate, filter hoses
  • Dirt and buildup

Build up of Nitrates results in -

  • More water changes to reduce nitrate levels
  • Increase of stress on fish
  • Reduced growth especially young juvenile and fry fish
  • Inhibits ability to reproduce
  • Poor water quality
  • Increased risk of disease
  • Increase of Algae with increased nutrients.
  • Reduces Oxygen levels.

Betapet Nitrapore is the best way to remove Nitrates that we have come across. While Macropore is great and is more a broad based product and does a wonderful job of water polishing and removing organics and reduces nitrates - Nitrapore is more specific and extremely effective and does a better job when handling elevated levels of nitrates keeping them low for longer.

Nitrates has always been an issue for the hobby and fishkeepers and now there is a cost effective way of keeping them down.

BENEFITS:

  • Removes Nitrates (via removing Nitrogenous Waste)
  • Removes Nitrites (via removing Nitrogenous Waste)

  • Reduces the need for Water Changes

  • Nitrapore is best used as a filter media in your Aquarium, Fish Tank or Pond.

Not only will it give a better environment which will improve growth, colour and overall health of your fish, it will reduce the need to do a water change giving you more time to enjoy your aquarium and saving water.

You will still need to do water changes just not as regular. Or you could continue to do the regular water changes which will improve the environment even more.

Nitrapore will raise the Redox potential without effecting the beneficial trace element levels in your aquarium.
